We will acknowledge your request within 7 business days, and aim to complete deletion within 30 calendar days where applicable.
5. What Happens After a Deletion Request
Upon verifying your identity and eligibility for deletion:

We will delete your personal information from our Shopify backend, email marketing lists, and customer service platforms.

We will notify you once the process is complete.

If any third-party services store your data, we will forward your request or confirm deletion with those parties (where applicable).
Note: Data stored in anonymized or aggregated form (which does not identify you personally) may be retained for analytics, business performance, and legal reporting.
6. Exceptions to Deletion
We may retain certain data under the following conditions:

Legal Compliance: Where required to retain transaction data for tax and accounting (e.g., invoices retained for 5 years as per SARS requirements).

Security & Fraud Prevention: To detect or prevent fraudulent activity.

Order Fulfilment: If you have an active or pending order, we may delay deletion until fulfilment is complete.
7. Shopify’s Role as Data Processor
Zayaan Wellness is hosted on Shopify Inc., which acts as our data processor. Shopify stores customer data on secure servers and provides the technical infrastructure for managing data deletion requests.

8. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party applications and platforms such as:
